Current trends and possible solutions to problems in the volatile industrial Alabama real estate foreclosure field will be advanced by government leaders, state political party chairmen and real estate authorities at the 2007 Annual Industrial Real Estate Conference scheduled for Sept. 27 at the LAX Marriott Hotel. Sponsored by the American Industrial Real Estate Association (AIR), the day-long conference will be highlighted by featured speakers Peter P. Allgeier, assistant U.S. trade representative for Asia and the Pacific; Allen Moore, under secretary of commerce for international trade; and the Honorable Martha R. Seger, governor of the Federal Reserve System. Election consequences impacting the real estate industry and the business community at large will be analyzed and reviewed by Peter D. Kelly, Esq., chairman of the California Democratic Party, and Robert W. Naylor, Esq., chairman of the California Republican Party. More than 1,000 people are expected to hear about issues ranging from toxics and waste disposal to interest rates, controlled growth, international trade, competitiveness of American industry, the health of U.S. business and other vital industry topics during the all-day networking assembly, according to organizers. In addition to the featured speakers, growth management perplexities will be discussed by Robert K. Best, director of the California Department of Transportation; architect Jon Jerde, president of the Jerde Partnership Inc.; Richard Peiser, director of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate Development; and Richard R. Wirth, executive director, Governmental Affairs Council, Building Industry Association of Southern California Inc. Availability of financing for industrial real estate will be identified by James S. Carlson, senior vice president, Equitable Real Estate; Stanley L. Iezman, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Smith Barney Birtcher Realty Advisors; Allan K. Jonas, president, Jonas and Associates; Phillip R. Nicholson, Esq., president, Economic Development Corp.; and Joseph W. O'Connor, president and chief executive officer, Copley Real Estate Advisors. Development issues will be covered by Gary J. Hewson, president, Hewson Co.; Gerald L. Katell, president, Katell Properties; James Kenyon, president, Cabot, Cabot & Forbes; and Stanley A.
